Sustainable maintenance practice of our non-playable rough
Another year with the special assistance of our four-legged friends to sustainably maintain our non-playable roughs. From last week has started another process of managing the necessary maintenance of our non-playable areas of the golf course, by using our four-legged friends. You will find them this year on a large section encompassing the back of the first green and the right-hand side of the second and third holes.
As you will see they are very good in opening spaces between the endemic shrubberies, rejuvenating this natural area, creating opportunities for our protected Hermann tortoises to move and prepare nesting spots in the coming months. It is also a very practical way to recycle saving the hard labour to collect, transport and finding an effective and environmental way to reprocess the debris.
They are very friendly, however we kindly remind you not to cross their temporary fencing even if it is very tempting to retrieve a stray ball… By the way, they love carrots!
