History and Presentation

In 2007, the Club established the Vidauban Golf Corporate Foundation for the Environment. Since then, its mission has been to integrate the remarkable biodiversity of the Plaine des Maures — renowned for its exceptional natural heritage — into the life of the golf course. The Foundation’s core missions are: to understand, to preserve, and to share.

  • Understand:

It is the first golf club in France who entered a 10-year partnership with the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, which researchs revealed the presence of species previously unrecorded in the region, as well as the discovery of species still unknown to science.

  • Preserve:

Given the outstanding natural environment in which the course is set, all stakeholders — both staff and members — are committed to understanding and supporting conservation efforts for the local species and ecosystems, in harmony with our golfing activity.

  • Share:

The Foundation has also developed an educational platform for Club staff and local schoolchildren. It is also the driving force behind international gatherings — a series of dialogues bringing together ecologists, government authorities, and golf institutions.
